Seven Links

Yesterday a fellow scuba diving blogger of mine posted an Internet game for bloggers called Seven Links. All you have to do is post seven links on your blog that correspond with different prompts. Here’s my take:

  1. Your first post: I seriously had very little knowledge of Scuba diving when I first started blogging so I wanted to write an attention grabbing article. Originally, it was going to be about the search for Atlantis but it seemed a bit cliché so I covered Exploring Underwater Cities where scuba divers can actually visit underwater structures. This is on my todo list as well.
  2. A post you enjoyed writing the most: Im a closet Star Wars fan so I had a lot of fun writing the May the Force be With you (especially while diving!) article quite a bit.
  3. A post which had great discussion: It’s hard for me to present an article since I have primarily focused my efforts on building the blog and not so much on marketing it. I figure once I have completed a bit of SEO, I’ll have some excellent discussions. For now, Boniface, The Russian Scuba Diving Dog has generated a few nice comments.
  4. A post on someone else’s blog that you wish you had written: Fijisharkdiving is by far one of the top blogs that I follow. The author is witty and writes interesting, relatable pieces that are full of snarky comments. I like most of this content and Free Diving with the Big Ones was a great piece. Definitely worth checking out.
  5. A post that you are proud of: A Dark World Oceans Day had a nice ring to it and helped highlight what a sad World Oceans Day we celebrated thanks to BP.
  6. A post that you wish more people had read: Nuke the oil spill? Was a nice one since nuclear weapons have been used before but for political reasons Obama won’t think twice about it.
  7. Your most visited post ever: Haha, I wish I could write a serious answer, but I feel undiscovered and so have little traffic at the moment :D . Sea Urchins and Blanquizales in the Canary Islands has had quite a few hits since it touches on a world wide phenomena that has the entire academic community biting its nails.

That was something fun and different. Bloggers, go ahead and give it ago if you want to write a quick blog entry.
